My dear young cousin does not like President Obama and does not trust him.
She was concerned that I would not want her to comment on my blog. (I did publish one of her negative comments on Obama, but after a certain number of days comments go to the foggy bottom of cyberspace.)
I welcome different opinions because we learn from each other. We can love each other and respectfully disagree.
So, dear cousin (you know who you are), I love you and I disagree and comment away!!! I will comment right back!
It’s funny that although I was a political science major and fascinated by the “science” of politics, I have never felt so inclined to stand up in favor of a politician as I have felt I need to do for Barack Obama. And so when I saw this blog entry, I felt the need to send you this comment. One may disagree with the ideals of President Obama and one may think that his proposed healthcare plan/ideas are far from adequate and I can accept that as I am not positive that his current plan or any form of it will work (I’m not sure it won’t either but I am just not following it closely enough or knowledgeable enough about it to take a strong position), but what I am positive about is that his intellect, his sincerity and his leadership capabilities are unparalleled to any other politician that I have seen in office in my adult life. I was a strong Bill and Hillary Clinton supporter but have grown to really believe in Barack Obama and his ability to return this country to normalcy, prosperity and to a place that other countries look up to. I too would welcome differing opinions (as that is what this country is supposed to be all about) but I must tell you that when I listen to the differing opinions of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin and Bill O’Reilly, I can only laugh because their arguments sound clownish against the stature of our current leader who I believe oozes of integrity.
