I can’t read this chart but would like to. I do not think health care is a privilege or a right I think it is a necessity that we should all be able to have. Why won’t our government regulate this industry? I guess they personally stand to loose mass contributions. There are so many things wrong with the present health care system that needs to be fixed. The poor are covered, the rich don’t need coverage and all of us poor middle class people have to pay for it and the premiums are obscene. What was once a benefit employers extended to employees and their families is now a cash cow for the insurance industry. They win every way. They win when they raise your premium every year between 10 and 25% as they cut your benefits. They win when they charge Dr’s outrageous fee’s for their malpractice insurance. The CEO’s walk away with massive bonuses and no one blinks an eye.
The fact that you can pay for something and never use it and then when you need it get dropped is just appalling.
The government should offer plans that are similar or better than what the big companies have and then run it as a not for profit and charge lower rates that will make the commercial carriers more competitive. This is just ridiculous. When a family has to spend $20K on coverage just to be safe we have some big problems
