Now someone says President Obama is gay. It is clearly meant as an insult even though I thought that we had made strides in that regard.
Because any man who is an intellectual, loves his children and seems to have a good relationship with this wife (at least from the outside) must be gay? And, who cares? Should we start talking about George Bush and his drinking?
So, you can’t fight him on the issues so you go for heckling and “disparaging” comments? So, what if he is? So, what if he had blue skin or purple eyes?
The right wingers can’t fight fair because they have no good arguments. They only have their prejudices.
I hope Americans see through all of this and are disgusted by the absence of decency and fair play and calm discussion of the ISSUES.

If Obama,as he stated in his healthcare speech, believes “consumers do better when there is competition,” why doesn’t he want insurance companies to be able to compete across state lines?
Stop insurance companies from being able to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditons? Yes. Government takeover, which most of the bill essentially is? No no no.
The healthcare debate has turned into a mudslinging brawl, there is no question. And it’s not right. But that doesn’t mean Obama’s intentions are good.
If the bill is passed in its present form, it will deny universal coverage, not provide it. And it will hurt everyone.
People who see that get angry as anyone might get angry when someone in power stabs you in the gut while pretending to care about helping you.
And that stab wound won’t be covered either.
It is troubling to see Jordana’s replies here. If you want to question the attributes or lack thereof of a healthcare reform proposal, this makes sense to the extent it is constructive criticism and not partisan banter (Yes, your replies ooze of partisan banter in my view). If you want to question President Obama’s “good” intentions, you can (this country gives you a right to do that) but I think you, like many radical politicians, are caught up in defending the “party” at all costs and to whatever extent necessary rather than judging things on the facts presented. Any Republican who believes that any and all additional governmental regulations (no matter what type they are, how far such regulations go or on what basis they are needed) are detrimental to a prosperous America is just as mistaken as the Democrat who believes that there absolutely positively can be no merit to the argument that life begins at conception. As with the abortion issue, where it is obvious to me that (despite the fact that I am Pro-Choice), there are very strong arguments for both Pro-choice and Pro-Life theorists, there are also obviously very strong (and valid) feelings of proponents and opponents to the sweeping health care reform legislation. But what is it that President Obama has done to make you question his “good” intentions. Questioning whether he’s gotten it right here is one thing. But it seems to me that you are the one who wants to throw the mud. Radical leanings are almost always harmful to our society. Hence, why I’m troubled.
